Steps to get Started
Once you have been assigned a password, please make sure you have these items gathered, organized, and in proper digital format/specifications before uploading your data (original recorded plat, original recorded restrictions, 4 digital photographs, company logo, and lot price list with acreage sizes if applicable). Feel free to take this sheet with you to your neighborhood Kinko's or local blueprint copy shop. They will be able to help you with all of the specifics for each step below.
Step 1: Scanned plat at actual size: Any Kinko's will be able to have your plat scanned either in-house or at their closest facility with these capabilities (Greenwood, SC). You may find pricing and/or quicker turnaround time with your current blueprint copy center as long as they Adobe Acrobat Software. Note: The file must be saved as (.PDF) no wider than 1500 pixels or 20 inches wide RGB.
Step 2: Scanned Restrictions: Any Kinko's will be able to scan a full set of (registered) restrictions as one file and save as (.PDF). You may find better pricing with your current blueprint copy center as long as they have Adobe Acrobat Software. (Restrictions must have a stamp of registration in order to comply with our agreement. Remember, you are responsible for accuracy of all material you post to the WeGotHome.com website.)
Step 3: Photos: All photos must be saved as .JPG, .GIF or .PDF files, RGB color, and sized to 640 x 480 pixels, 72dpi. It is very important to have these settings correct to ensure quick rendering time on your web page.
Step 4: Logo Upload: Have your logo scanned if you do not already have it in digital format. Logo should be saved as .JPG RGB at 70 x 44 pixels. (DO NOT stretch logo to fit this exact size. Logo should stay proportioned.)
Step 5: Lot Price List: If you plan to upload individual lot prices, make sure you have a list of lots along with acreage size and pricing so that you can enter all information at once. OR, so you can input path, get the full URL address to your specific price sheet page on your company website.
Please Note: (Saving Extensions .JPG or .PDF in RGB color is extremely important!) If your images are not saved properly, your page could take too long to upload and your customers will become impatient therefore leaving your page and looking for others.
